I believe that you and your circumstances are unique, and that mental health labels and diagnoses rarely provide adequate descriptions of our experiences. In counselling, I will work alongside you as you explore and work through difficulties or choices, creating between us an environment for growth and empowerment.
It is important that you find the right therapist for you. There is a lot of evidence that shows the relationship between you and your therapist will be a key factor in your progress during counselling.
With this in mind, it might be a good idea to have a chat on the phone with several therapists, and maybe meet a few before making a decision about who is right for you.
