ABOUT YOU
Deciding you want to start therapy and making that first contact with a therapist may not be easy. And sticking with the therapy as you uncover painful truths and explore difficult experiences can feel overwhelming at times, but I believe it's worth it.
Therapy can enhance life on so many levels. It can be a deeply transformative process, especially when you are able to talk openly to someone knowing you will be fully accepted, regardless of what it is you have to say.
Many people come to therapy because they need to heal from something or they want to change or understand something. You may well not know what it is you want to change, understand or heal, or how to go about it, but you are probably very ready for life to feel different.

This is why it is important that you find the right therapist for you. There is a lot of evidence that shows the relationship between you and your therapist will be a key factor in your progress during counselling.

With this in mind, it might be a good idea to have a chat on the phone with several therapists, and maybe meet a few before making a decision about who is right for you.

I particularly welcome clients from the LGBTQ+ community.
